Troubleshooting checklist next to a Deadside cheat loader window

Deadside Cheat Not Working? Start With This Checklist

Most problems come from a handful of causes. Go through these checks in order and you will likely solve it, or know exactly what to tell support.

When a cheat does not work, it is tempting to assume it is broken. Often the cause is smaller and easier to fix. Go through these checks in order. They are arranged from the most common causes to the least common.

1. Check the status page first

If the game just updated, the product may need an update before it works again. Open the status page and look at the current state of your product. If it is not online, waiting is the right call. Launching anyway is the fastest way to create a bigger problem.

2. Confirm your system meets the requirements

Store products list Windows 10 or 11 on a 64-bit system, with an Intel or AMD CPU. Check the requirements on the Deadside cheats (link 2) page and confirm your PC matches.

3. Run the loader as administrator

Several products specify running the loader as Administrator. Right click the loader and choose the administrator option, rather than double clicking it.

4. Restart and start clean

Restart your PC, then launch only what you need. Close other overlays, recording tools and utilities that hook into games, since they can conflict with each other.

5. Follow the order in the setup guide

Many problems come from starting things in the wrong order. Open the product guide in your portal and follow it exactly. The setup guides page also covers common steps.

6. Re-download from your portal

If the loader fails to open, download a fresh copy from your portal instead of reusing an old file. Old files can be out of date after a product update.

7. Check for game or driver updates

A recent game patch or a graphics driver update can change how things behave. If the problem started right after one, say so when you contact support. It narrows the cause quickly.

8. Think about your license

If you changed PCs, your license may be tied to the old one. You can reset your HWID in the portal or ask support to help.

9. Note what you see

Before contacting anyone, write down the exact message, what you were doing, whether the status page showed online and what you already tried. It saves a lot of back and forth.

Still stuck?

Open a support ticket or ask on Discord for live help. Setup help is included with your license, and support is available around the clock.
